Said Charu Parashar, "I am grateful to FDCI for recognizing my talent and supporting my efforts to put Indian fashion on the global map. It further strengthens the FDCI's mandate to promote young designers & my participation at the Dubai Fashion Week is an extension of that." Said Nitin Bal Chauhan,

"With more and more Indian designers hitting the foreign turf it is indeed the need of the hour to support, promote and help young designers gain exposure and momentum. FDCI has always believed in this philosophy and I am grateful that they continue to do so."

I am glad many more new designers are now able to get the same kind of encouragement and support, be it moral, financial or otherwise. I look forward to next edition of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week the only 'Business of Fashion' event in October."

In addition promoting Indian designers to network and experience international fashion weeks, FDCI has created another benchmark in Indian fashion, by initiating India's first Couture Week sponsored by HDIL.
