'Show 100' is the main event of this year's Helsinki Design Week festival. The exhibition celebrates the diversity of design, presenting the 100 most interesting products and concepts of the year.
The exhibitors include designers and companies from both Finland and abroad. The show will be on view in the Merikaapelihalli hall of the Cable Factory cultural centre from 1 to 3 October 2008.
Marimekko's presentation in the 'Show 100' exhibition is a crystallisation of the urban moods of the spring and summer 2009 collections.
The display, featuring the striking graphic 'Ruutukaava' (Grid street system) fabric print by Maija Louekari and solid-coloured silk chiffon dresses by Samu-Jussi Koski, reflects the soft pulsation of the modern city scene. Hectic life is counterbalanced by airy dreams, sensibility and ethereal beauty.
