The fashion scene in Cambodia is changing fast and for good. Many designers living in different parts of the nation are making their presence felt in the fashion capitals like London, Paris and New York.

Designers like Eric Raisina and Don Protasio living in Siem Reap town have created stunning and breathtaking garments for global fashionistas.

Eric Raisina is among the leading designers whose garments, textiles and samples were sold to Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Christian Lacroix and Christian Dior. He not only designs mind blowing outfits that are worn by glitteratis internationally but also creates the fabrics himself.

Inspired by traditional Khmer dress, Eric has created a new fabric named silk fur, which is silk woven with a special thread to give the material a heavier feel.

The exuberant clothes of the talented designer are sold at Amansara boutique and at the Carnets d'Asie gallery. The garments have also been appreciated at Fashion Week in Bangkok, Johannesburg and Latvia and at some private shows in Paris, New York and the Bahamas.

The fascinating outfits of Don Protasio are a beautiful blend of bright and patterned garments that are deeply inspired by this mesmerizing town. He is presently creating a captivating collection that will be showcased in Philippines Fashion Week.

Industry insiders believe that with such great talent in the nation, the young and upcoming designers can learn a lot from them for polishing their skills and make their nation proud.
