There seems to be a new bug going around, and from all signs it's pretty contagious. But hold on, before you start buying hand sanitizers by the gallons, be assured that the "Green Bug" provides no threat to your well being.

In fact, it may very well improve it. We're talking about sustainable fashion, of course, and these days it looks like no one is immune.

Take New York-based womenswer line, Doucette Duvall, a Gen Art SHOP NYC favorite who recently announced their plans to go green with their Spring 2009 collection. And they're certainly not alone.

Check out the offerings from Doucette Duvall and six other emerging designers who have also caught the bug—and consider snatching up a few pieces that will leave you looking stylish and give you peace of mind.

1. Prairie Underground The Falcon
2. Doucette Duvall Ruthie Coat
3. Luva Huva Angelique Knicker
4. Emily Katz Wow Rain Jacket
5. Vivien Cheng Tulip Handbag
6. Del Forte Denim Camilia Pencil Skirt
7. Bodkin Tote Bag.
