Bluefly rocks the vote with Fashion Decision

24
Oct '08
With the election only two weeks away, Bluefly customers are already casting their votes on Bluefly's Fashion Decision '08, a five-week online election from October 16th to November 11th that allows Americans to vote on which political figure rocked their fashion choices best. The easy to navigate fashion election site can be found at Bluefly.com/fashiondecision2008.

Every Thursday, Bluefly asks voters to decide which candidate – one representing red, the other blue - “rocked it better.” From the First Wives-to-be, to the candidates and their surrogates, visitors can riff on, for example, who rocked the Sarah Palin look best – SNL's Tina Fey or the aspiring Veep herself? Or who wore the other party's color better: Michelle Obama in Republican red or Cindy McCain in Democratic blue?

Votes are represented graphically on a regional US map, and fashion-obsessed voters can “Shop the Vote” too, buying the winning look for less through careful selections handpicked by Bluefly's fashion experts.

“With Fashion Decision '08 we wanted to give our customers a fun escape from the tension and intensity of this tight political race,” Bluefly CEO Melissa Payner explained. “We already know what each candidate's platform entails. Now it's Americas turn to let the parties know how they feel about their fashion choices.”

Republicans, Democrats and Independents shopping the vote can rest assured that their favorite couture pieces are just a click away on Bluefly.com, which carries over 350 American and European designers at values starting at up to 40% off.
