Glenmuir introduces new Spring/Summer '09 Ladies Collection

Fashion-conscious lady golfers can choose from the biggest-ever range of new products this season from Glenmuir, one of Europe's leading golf apparel brands.

The Glenmuir Spring/Summer '09 collection boasts 22 stylish new products and is the largest to be launched in Glenmuir's 117-year history - reflecting the fact that ladies' clothing continues to be the Lanark, Scotland-based company's fastest growing product category.

The collection totals 52 lines in total and co-ordinates luxury cotton polo shirts and knitwear with performance shirts, fleeces, luxury lambswool, merino and cashmere knitwear, wind shirts, waterproofs, trousers, shorts, headwear and socks.

At the heart of the range development is the introduction of three brand new stylish and modern colour palettes – 'Blue Tones' (four classic shades of blue from the deepest navy to cool ice), 'Beachcomber' (relaxing stone, linen and latte combined with ice blue and white) and 'Mellow Sundae' (eye-catching lemon and apricot co-ordinated with latte and stone).

Launching the new Ladies' Collection, Glenmuir Marketing Director Andy Bough said: “This exciting new collection meets the needs of lady golfers for smart, fashionable golf clothing that delivers on two counts – great looks and high performance.”

Key to this year's Spring/Summer collection is the launch of a whole new performance polo shirts range featuring six up-to-the-minute styles – Kat, Amy, Holly, Nina, Heather and Joyce.

All are manufactured from 70 percent cotton 30 percent polyester jersey, in a shaped fit to maximise fabric performance and comfort. They feature the renowned Hi-Cool ® Moisture Management System, which quickly draws moisture away from the body and into the fabric but boasts phenomenal quick-dry wicking properties, to keep the golfer dry and comfortable.

Glenmuir has expanded its popular shaped fit shirts range by adding the jetted zip-neck, 95 percent cotton 5 per cent elastane baby pique stretch polo shirt Lisa and 95 percent cotton 5 percent elastane single jersey stretch polo with button placket Suzy.

Also appearing for the first time is the diamond print 70 per cent cotton 30 percent polyester Nancy polo shirt, in a classic fit to balance the needs of fashion, comfort and performance, and featuring the Hi-Cool ® Moisture Management System.

Five new fashion cotton knitwear garments – Fiona v-neck sweater, Jackie zip-through cardigan, Audrey zip-through gilet, Joy zip-neck sweater and Ann v-neck slipover - have been introduced.

Designed in lightweight, breathable and machine washable 100% supersoft cotton the clothing is ideal for layering and features a neater fit to enhance the drape. All Glenmuir shirts and knitwear products are available in sizes XS- XL.

For the first time, Glenmuir has introduced the stretch cropped trousers Nicola, available in sizes UK 8-18 and in four colours.
