SILMO & MIDO: Two events, one vision

With a new year that promises to be full of changes just around the corner, the organizers of MIDO and SILMO have underscored their intention to protect front-line events and to support the international optics and eyewear industry in which Europe boasts an advantageous position.

Major exhibitions feel the effects of the world economic situation and the occasionally delicate management of the dates discussed by those responsible for the spaces at fairs. However, these events provide dynamic solutions that meet the expectations of entrepreneurs and buyers from all over the world.

During an informal meeting, the organizers of SILMO and MIDO underscored the importance of their events for domestic markets and the considerable attraction they exert on the international scene.

Both France and Italy boast important figures in the area of lenses and frames, with brands that are especially attractive and unique expertise that is always proactive when it comes to creativity and innovation.

With the intention of protecting the interests of the optics and eyewear industry and strengthening its international importance, the organizers of MIDO and SILMO have always aimed at a friendly agreement and at openness in reconfirming the need to hold the two major exhibition events that attract tens of thousands of professionals, worldwide, in Paris in the fall and in Milan in the spring.
