Bata Industrials has expanded its range of safety shoes with the addition of three new models, all of which are equipped with the waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX laminate: the Traxx 104, 105 and 106. With the addition of these models, the total number of GORE-TEX models available will be eight.
Until recently, together with the Karok and Torbat models (both from The Natural collection) available in several widths, the Traxx 101, 102 and 103 represented the full line of safety shoes manufactured using the GORE-TEX laminate. With the introduction of the Traxx 104, 105 and 106, three new models have now been added to this line.
And this is good news for wearers working in construction, road-building and hydraulic engineering, plant and animal sectors, industry, transport and logistics segments. This is certainly the case when cold and wet weather conditions demand comfortable and more importantly, waterproof safety shoes.
The best of Traxx The Traxx 104 and 105 are both equipped with a steel mid-sole and steel toecap, unlike the Traxx 106, which only has a steel toecap. Otherwise, each and every one of the models is manufactured using full grain leather and breathable textile. In addition, they also have TPU toecap protection, which prevents the leather on the shoe nose from getting damaged should the wearer need to crawl.
The new trio is also equipped with a QuattroTech sole (for excellent anti-slip qualities in every direction), the shock-absorbing Tunnelsystem and the energy-saving Easy Rolling System.
Shoe and sock Specially designed to be worn with the safety shoes equipped with GORE-TEX, Bata Industrials offers two special types of socks, the Traxx All Weather and the Riva. Both socks are made from special synthetic yarns which do not retain moisture, but instead transport it to the interior of the shoe. Once there, the GORE-TEX laminate transports the moisture to the exterior of the shoe.
The range of safety shoes equipped with GORE-TEX laminate is the direct result of the partnership between Bata Industrials and W.L. Gore & Associates. The primary features of the light, quick-drying GORE-TEX laminate are that it is waterproof, yet can breathe at the same time. This effect is due to the special membrane in which the pores are small enough to prevent drops of water from penetrating from the outside. However, the pores are large enough to allow evaporation molecules in and then transport them to the exterior. This keeps the wearer's feet warm and dry, creating optimum wearing comfort.
Bata Industrials is part of the Bata Shoe Organisation, the world's largest shoe manufacturer, and is the market leader in the Benelux for industrial shoes. Bata Industrials has production facilities throughout the world. The company headquarters is located in Best, the Netherlands.
