The 13th International Istanbul Fashion Fair began from February 5. This fair has opened its door, in the backdrop of the global slowdown in the textiles and apparels industry and has raised hopes of the domestic textile, apparel and fashion sectors of garnering a good amount of business in these difficult times.

Nearly 200 hundred exhibitors from Turkey as well as other countries like Israel, India, Italy and Greece are participating in the fair, Visitors to the tune of more than 20,000 are expected to visit the fair from diverse countries like, Romania, Russia, Morocco, Sweden and Tunisia. Delegations from different trade associations are also anticipated to pay a visit.

According to the organizer's of the fair, slowly but surely, European countries are beginning to favour Turkish enterprises, over their Chinese counterparts as they have a reputation of providing quality and fast service as well as due to the close distance proximity of Turkey with these European countries.
