ara Shoes designs two new styles for Autumn/Winter 2009-10

MosShoes 2009 (Spring) will be held on 18-21 March, 2009 at CROCUS Exhibition Centre - Moscow, Russia.
The 2009-10 Autumn/Winter Collection combines premium-quality materials and contemporary design with unrivalled comfort and sportiness – complemented by improved value. In the coming season, customers can look forward to a host of new styles presented as part of a fashionable collection that captures the current period of the time.
Irrespective of the general style – sporty, outdoor-focused or city-inspired – the new materials featured in the 2009-10 Autumn/Winter Collection, such as Citycalf, Mustang, Vanity and Patent Crocodile with large embossed scales, introduce an air of exclusivity to the portfolio.
The wonderfully creative design incorporates modern block heels and dual-coloured outsoles. In addition, ara has included Gore-Tex in several styles within the moccasin and boot segment, thus extending the use of this proven material. The result: dry, warm feet and excellent grip in icy conditions thanks to a state-of-the-art upper material combined with a non-slip, TR outsole.
The collection conveys a more youthful fashion statement, with an extended range of styles featured in the sporty footwear category. With this consumer segment in mind, the design team has developed a number of styles that are tailored precisely to the requirements of this market. In terms of product management, the emphasis is on modern, sporty chic – an aspect that has been cleverly incorporated into the new collection.
Building on the popular “Meran” last design, ara has introduced a range that focuses on the trend towards natural styles: the outsoles of styles featured in this segment have a cork look, while oiled suede leather is combined with smooth leather. The overall look is set off by the colour combinations Brown/Black and Violet/Brown.
Drawing inspiration from the success of the ultralight models presented in the 2009 Spring/Summer Collection, ara has designed two new styles for Autumn/Winter 2009-10, featuring a super-soft leather upper and a purple leather lining.
The choice of colours was inspired by contemporary fashion trends as well as by the desire to mix and match the footwear styles with other items of apparel. The portfolio of colours includes Bottle Green, Cognac, Violet, shades of Brown and Red, as well as Black. Nuances of Grey and Anthracite are used as colour connectors. A real eye-catcher: the embossed patent crocodile design featuring rich patent leather elements.
