Rufus Lin Designs takes Azzaro watches outside Europe

Canada's Rufus Lin Designs has been appointed the first authorized retailer of Azzaro watches in Japan. This is a milestone for both companies, as it marks the debut of the famous Azzaro Paris fashion brand outside Europe, in addition to being yet another achievement for Rufus Lin Designs as the brand's first official retailer outside Europe.
Rufus Lin Designs is already a distributor of several other independent European brands including Switzerland's Angular Momentum and Germany's Arctos and Botta. It is also the sole distributor worldwide for the high-end Canadian luxury watch brand, Rufus Gerard.
The Azzaro watch brand, started in 2007, introduced its first collections at Baselworld that same year to much acclaim. It was another step forward for the famed fashion house that dresses celebrities from Sophia Loren, Raquel Welch and Claudia Cardinale to Nicole Kidman, Kate Winslet and Anne Hathaway. Unlike many other fashion brands, Azzaro watches are manufactured in Switzerland, not China.
Chief designer Rufus Lin of Rufus Lin Designs thinks Azzaro has made the right move to make its first foray outside Europe in Japan. He says: "The Japanese are fashionable people, and bold enough to want to consider new brands that are of quality and good taste. The market there is huge, for a brand such as Azzaro, and because we are well known in Japan, we are looking forward to working with our partners there in the jewelry and fashion sectors."
Will Rufus Lin Designs, with its head office situated in Vancouver, Canada, bring Azzaro watches to North America as well?
Mr. Lin says that talks are underway to introduce Azzaro watches to Canada and the United States.
Rufus Lin Designs, founded in 2000, imports and distributes fine luxury watches from independent manufacturers in Switzerland and Germany. With more than 40 employees in its Vancouver and Tokyo offices, most of the company's customers are in North America and Japan.
