Wedding veil is one of the most traditional bridal ensembles. It is believed to be worn to protect the bride from jealous spirits.

Today, it has become a mandatory part of the bridal costume. Choosing a veil depends on the personal choice of the bride, and the wedding costume she is to wear on the special day.

However, utmost care should be taken. For instance, an extravagant wedding gown and a simple veil will go with each other.

Otherwise, it will spoil the elegance of the gown, and end up looking overdone. On the contrary, a simple wedding dress will need a veil which stands out.

Care should be taken, that the veil does not hide any part of the bridal outfit. Antique veils are very popular today. It adds a trendy statement to the bride's fashion.

Along with the veil, choosing the right bridal accessories also can make a great difference. Bridal jewelry and bridal hair accessories must be chosen so as to complement the entire wedding look.
