In addition to the daily complimentary breakfast in the Buyers Lounge (Suite B271), the 5th Floor “On5” provided daily hospitality and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday the Beverly Hills Salon, Oliver Ifergan Atelier, provided retailers with dry-cuts, styling and hair consultations. Oliver Ifergan, owner of the salon said, “I think the buyers really enjoyed having us and I think it's going to be great for the salon, we really had a great time.”

The LA Fashion Market at the California Market Center featured apparel and accessories from all available categories including Women's Contemporary, Young Contemporary, Street Contemporary, Juniors, European Collections, Updated, Maternity, Intimate Apparel, Swimwear, Men's, Young Men's, Children's, Accessories, Footwear, Gift and Home and Immediate Goods.

Many of the showrooms reported a successful June 2009 LA Fashion Market:

“Our Market turned out better than expected so we were pleased with the outcome. Serious buyers attended and left solid orders. Most buyers left their paper and we had few notes out this market.”

– The HaleMary Showroom (Women's Contemporary)

"I'm happy to say that every scheduled appointment I had, showed up and left paper. As far as the overall mood of what is happening at retail, it sounds as though we are SLOWLY turning the corner.”

- Cindy Griffin, Ben Sherman (Women's and Men's Contemporary)

“I feel the Market was busy compared to other June Markets. The buyers seem optimistic but still cautious.”

- Lorraine Hooshyar, Lon5 Showroom (Women's Contemporary)

“Yesterday we didn't have time for lunch! We were writing orders almost all day. Our newest release, Brand Diamond Veneer, was a major hit; the mid-to high markets, although buying less fine jewelry will not compromise on quality and value on the Bridge and the Better Fashion Jewelry. In this economy, we seem busier than before.”

- Jacob Hassidim, Zirconmania (Accessories)

“Necessitees apparel is filling a "niche" of inexpensive, 2 week-turn, instant gratification clothing. As a result we
opened many new stores and had a nice steady June Market."

- Hallie Shano, Necessitees Apparel (Women's and Young Contemporary)

“This Market was actually much better than anticipated! I was pleasantly surprised to open about 8-10 new doors! There were a handful of adult stores opening kids sections within their stores, some maternity stores, and some existing accounts that came to our showroom for the first time and bought! Customers have mentioned that they are also seeing a little boost in sales and that gift product is where it is at right now. June is typically a slow market so I didn't get too excited about it, but ultimately it was great to see some action!”

- In Play Showroom (Children's)

“The CMC is very excited that our retailers and exhibitors had a positive June 2009 LA Fashion Market. Buyer traffic was up everyday except Saturday from March 2009. The Market's success is an indication that the industry is beginning to recover. The CMC will continue to assist our tenants and exhibitors in driving traffic through marketing, retail store visits, complimentary seminars and hospitality, discounted hotel rates, and more,” said Joanne Lee, Senior Vice President of the California Market Center.
