Dongguan China Shoes explores new business opportunities

In 2008, GDP of China reached USD$7.8 trillion, being the second largest economic country in the world after US. China is also the largest shoe consumption country in the world. China's per capita income has grown at an average annual rate of more than 8% over the last three decades. Average shoes consumption per person is expected to reach 2.3 pairs annually in 2012 which represent 30% growth when compared to 2006. China shoes market is blooming.

The 9th Dongguan China Shoes-China Shoetec (Spring 2009) was held successfully from May 5 – 7, 2009. The 3-day show attracted 15,309 visitors / buyers from 72 countries and regions, including Japan, USA, Australia, Korea, Italy, Spain, India, Vietnam, Russia, China, HKSAR and Taiwan province. Being the largest professional shoes, materials and machinery fair in China, The 10th Dongguan China Shoes.

China Shoetec (Autumn 2009) will continue to serve as a premier trading platform for middle-to-high end footwear, leather & accessories, shoe material and machinery. Buyers from worldwide will be invited to the show, especially those from China and the new emerging footwear markets such as Russia, Middle East and India, to assist the exhibitors to explore new markets and keep abreast of the fast pace of the market. The exhibition receives extensive support from various associations to organize exhibiting pavilions, including Hong Kong Footwear Association, Putian Footwear Manufacturers Association, Dongguan Leather & Footwear Association, Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry, etc. The 10th Dongguan China Shoes. China Shoetec (Autumn 2009) will be held from Oct 28 – 30 (right before Canton fair shoes section) to facilitate the attending schedule of the overseas buyers and exhibitors.

Specialized Theme Zones for Better Business Matching
“Kids Shoe Zone” and “Leather Zone” were newly set up in the previous edition and got overwhelming responses from both exhibitors and buyers. Ms Qiu of Deland Guangzhou International Trade Co. Ltd, who is responsible for kid's shoes trading for Middle East & Australia, said the Kid's Shoes Zone was very convenient for the companies specialized in kids shoes sourcing. By grouping exhibitors of same product category within a specialized theme zone provides efficiency and convenience to buyers; it also enables better business matching between exhibitors and buyers.

Apart from the “Kids' Shoes Zone”, “Leather Shoes Zone”, “Evening Shoes Zone” & “Health & Comfort Shoes Zone” will be newly set up in the coming edition, intensive promotion campaigns will be launched to actively introduce these specialized zones, which will definitely be another highlights of the exhibition.

Stock Shoes Zone to Provide Flexibilities to Buyers & Exhibitors
Continuous with the success of the previous edition, Stock Shoes Zone will be set up again with larger scale and greater shoes variety. Stock Shoes Zone allows exhibitors to sell their stock shoes to buyers with greater flexibility on order quantity and price. Quanzhou HengTai HongWei Shoes Co., Ltd. was highly satisfied with its previous participation, they successfully sold 30% of the stock shoes which valued RMB200,000.
