A dedicated website, Brits in Paris, is being set up for buyers and the media by UK Fashion Exports(UKFE) to support the largest-ever group of British designer companies, some 125, including Sam Ubhi, AvshAlom Gur, Rupert Sanderson, The Jacksons and Ramon Gurillo, that it will be taking to the Carrousel de la Mode at the beginning of October.
“The enthusiasm for fashion-forward British designer womenswear and accessories, coupled with the more favourable exchange rate, means that British companies are more determined than ever to get their spring/summer 2010 collections in front of international buyers,” says Paul Alger, executive director, UKFE.
“The plethora of venues and the hundreds of companies showing in Paris that week led us to develop our 'Brits in Paris' downloadable map, but it's now critically important to have a site that shows not just where the British companies will be, but also carries images of their new collections, to help buyers and the press plan their trip.”
Created by PR Shots, the specialist fashion photo library, the Brits in Paris site - www.ukfashionexports.com/britsinparis - will be accessible from mid-August to end October.
