Designers get their richest source of inspiration through their experiences with nature, religion, art, literature, music and dreams. There are many major design sources all around us, which give the inspiration for designing jewellery.
Natural sources such as flora, fauna, birds, insects, shells, and trees etc can be a great motivation. An exquisitely carved piece of jewellery can capture the life-like qualities of flowers or animals. These craftworks never go obsolete.
Manmade sources like buildings, machinery, instruments give different experiences, and discover something new. Historical sources can be obtained from monuments, libraries, vases painting, and ancient jewellery; which bring a fusion of conservative, and contemporary ideas.
Symbolic sources which include religious symbols, zodiac signs, and themes and concepts like magazines, and catalogues are some other useful sources of inspiration. These sources of inspiration literally change the designer's way of thinking, and perceptions.
