FC A/W collection exudes Terry Richardson's trade mark style

Affirming FRENCH CONNECTION's status as a leading force in high street fashion, the brand has yet again upped their creative ante and collaborated with fashion icons and admired experts for the Autumn/Winter 09 international campaign. Iconic photographer Terry Richardson has yet again brought his energy and charisma to the new campaign through an exciting collaborating with Creative Director Fabien Baron who has now art directed the FRENCH CONNECTION advertising campaign for 4 consecutive seasons.

To really make their mark on the season, the brand has joined forces with The Richards sisters – glamorous daughters of rock icon, Keith and model Patty Hanson and with Tom Guinness who epitomises style with his own genuine edge.

The campaign exudes Terry Richardson's trade mark style as an internationally prolific fashion photographer with the most compellingly recognisable style of his generation. Yet again he has added his own energy and undeterred passion to the campaign without losing the all important French Connection glamour with a twist.

For Autumn Winter 09 French Connection has created a campaign that is full of eclectic energy and 80's glamour, presenting the brand in a credible, original and distinctive way. The seductive campaign creative adds a raw backdrop to their most luxuriously, glamorous collection to date.

Fabien Baron on his creative direction; “The A/W collection is inspired by the 1980's with strong colours, cool silhouettes, and amazing dresses. The menswear is especially strong this season, with a good balance between fashion and masculinity. The collection and campaign needs to show irreverence and style whilst defining the brands own distinct personality; it made perfect sense to cast Tom Guinness and the Richards sisters, as that is what they stand for. Given the spirit and the strength of the clothes we came up with a simple, graphic concept, a modern 80's set using large oversized letters for the models to interact with, playing with different textures adding neon lights to give it that 80's panache!”

Theodora and Alexandra Richards were brought up amongst the originators of the rock 'n roll glitterati, exposed from a young age to legendary fashion leaders and inspirational music makers has provided them with the freedom and confidence to express their own, unique style. Both sisters were introduced to the world of modeling by their mother Patti – accompanying her to glamorous shoots around the world ignited their desire to one day follow in her footsteps, both have gone on to appear in numerous high profile campaigns and work with some of the world's most admired photographers.

British socialite and super star DJ, Tom Guiness continues to cause a stir with his edgy clique on the London fashion scene. French Connection selected Tom to appear in the campaign to inject a sense of realness with his own naturally cool style and personality, adding credibility and desirability to the menswear collection.
