N-W mega store in Terminal 1 is refreshing to look at and be in

After almost two months of extensive construction and refurbishment, Nuance-Watson is pleased to announce the opening of its newly renovated mega store at Changi Airport Terminal One. The store opening comes at an opportune time with passenger traffic at Changi Airport registering positive growth in recent months. Terminal 1 in particular saw September post the highest year-on-year passenger gain of 9 per cent.

The terminal itself is currently undergoing massive redevelopment and Nuance-Watson is expecting to complete the remaining Perfumes & Cosmetics stores by mid 2010. The new Terminal 1 Perfumes & Cosmetics mega store ideally located just after one of the two existing immigration check-points, boasts a modern and contemporary design environment. The store concept and design carries through the Perfumes & Cosmetics' signature pink and white façade, the brainchild of designer David Roocke, exuding a more synergistic feel than its previous premise.

Says Ken Tse, Managing Director of Nuance-Watson Pte Ltd: “It's a beautiful day. The new mega store in Terminal One is refreshing to look at and be in. As usual, the renovation process was not one without its fair share of adversities but it turned out well and coherent with our retail strategy; saying this, we could always do with more space as we have so much to offer! Again, we are most grateful to have the support and trust from our vendors and airport authority without whom we will not have been able to achieve timely completion. Special thanks too to the merchandising team helmed by Category Manager, Chillie Por, who together with the design and operations teams, worked tirelessly and showed unwavering commitment to see this renovation through. We are absolutely looking forward to better days ahead and completing the rest of the Terminal One Perfumes & Cosmetics stores.”

Spanning approximately 540 square metres of retail space, the new mega store is about 26 per cent larger than the previous one. Shoppers will be treated to an increased offering of internationally recognised beauty brands such as The Body Shop, Sisley, Givenchy Cosmetics, Kosé, Laneige and fragrance brands such as Amouage, Rance, Bond No. 9, Loewe, Cartier Usher, Roca Wear that are new to the stable of brands in this terminal's mega store. Fans of Victoria's Secret Beauty, L'Oreal, Jurlique, L'Occitane and Shu Uemura can also enjoy a wider product range with these brands' expanded presence. And unlike the other mega stores, Terminal One will also include a dedicated make-up zone.
