Cherokee partners with RT Mart, division of Ruentex

Cherokee Inc., a leading licensor and global brand management company, announced that it has entered into an exclusive international license agreement for its Cherokee brand with RT Mart Stores, a division of Ruentex Industries Limited, a 45-year-old textile, retail and trading company. The multi-year agreement covers a wide range of categories including men's, women's and children's clothing, footwear and accessories, as well as home textiles. RT Mart is one of the leading and fastest growing retailers in China. Operating over 125 hypermarket stores, RT Mart's success is driven by their focus on the regional requirements and needs of their consumers.
Peter Huang, CEO & President, RT Mart, said, “Cherokee, as one of the few family lifestyle brands with global appeal covering a wide range of product categories, will add significant growth and profit to our apparel and non-foods business and will translate well with our customers' desire for style, quality and value. In addition, as we continue with our plan to open more stores throughout China, Cherokee will become one of the larger family brands in our country.
