'Écouture – “The Dynamic of a Dress” II' describes movement as the relation between the body and its envelope. This interdependence between body, movement, fabric and cut is the point of departure for the new collection. In water everything is in motion: the organic shapes, flowing materials and pastel shades were all inspired by nature and the ocean.
The designer's aim here was to explore the influence parameters that give dresses different rhythms and effects such as rebound, hovering and bobbing effects. Her sculptured dresses in silk chiffon are made of one single piece of fabric using the moulage technique. This means they have but few seams and therefore develop their own dynamism – a “life of their own” in harmony with the movements of the wearer for which the dresses are tailor-made.
