Pearl Academy of Fashion wins APEX AWARD

Pearl Academy of Fashion (PAF), India's leading fashion and design institute won Apex Award for 'The Best Academic / Training Institute of the Year 2008-09'.

The Award was conferred amidst a glittering ceremony organized by CMAI (Clothing Manufacturers Association of India) at Hotel Grand Hyatt, Mumbai recently. Amongst the other nominees short listed by an External Jury were NIFT, Gandhinagar and School of Fashion Technology (SOFT) Pune.

CMAI, Mumbai instituted the apex awards, the premier awards of the Indian apparel industry in the year 2006. Outstanding performers are recognized and chosen by their own peers to honour those who turn modest apparel into a lifestyle. It acknowledges excellence in apparel manufacturing, marketing and supply chain management also. Contributors from allied industries are also honoured during CMAI awards ceremony.

On this occasion, Col. Surojit Bose, Group Registrar (Academic Administration), Pearl Academy of Fashion said “I am extremely honored to receive such a prestigious award on behalf of Pearl Academy of Fashion. It has proved to be a reward and recognition from the industry for our hard work and dedication in providing the best fashion education in the country. This award is of utmost importance for every individual associated with Pearl Academy of Fashion. This recognition will be a strong inspiration to continue best of our endeavour in providing quality education in India.”

Pearl Academy of Fashion (PAF) is a leading fashion and design institute with international presence. From an institute, which started with 47 students in 1993, the Academy currently has over 1600 students on its roll in its state-of-the-art campuses in Delhi, Jaipur and Chennai within India and in Dhaka and UAE abroad. The Academy has an extensive network of national and international partners including some of the best known universities and state bodies, besides having membership of prestigious bodies like the International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes, National Retail Federation, USA and the Fashion Design Council of India. Currently, Pearl Academy of Fashion is also on the executive body of IFFTI, the only educational institute from India to have this honour.
