Pearl Academy of Fashion, India's leading fashion and design institute organized the prize distribution ceremony and exhibition for “Creative Pearls” an annual competition for the young talented school students of the country at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

More than 750 students of class X, XI & XII from 79 schools across the country participated in bouquet of creative competitions like dress design, fabric painting on T-shirt, short film, photo feature and essay writing.

Creative Pearls is an annual initiative from Pearl Academy of Fashion which intends to provide students with a common platform to expose their creativity. This year's competitions were divided into two parts – submissions based and sit in based. Dress design, fabric painting on t-shirt and essay writing were sit in competitions while short film and photo feature were submission based.

Students were given unusual topics for these competitions like 'Make-over of an Indian politician' for dress design, 'Bharat Dekho' for short film making and 'Mall Mania' for essay writing. Similarly, students painted on 'Changing India' for T-shirt painting competition and 'Shoot a Shop' for photo features category.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. A.K.G. Nair, Group Director, Pearl Academy of Fashion said, “We are extremely happy with the overwhelming response that we received for the Creative Pearls in all three centers. The main objective of Creative Pearls is to recognize and nurture the future creative professionals and to accelerate the process of enrichment to their knowledge by providing them a proper and effective platform. This year, we had decided to scale up the event to a national level competition and evolve it into one which gains resonance in various cities across India.”
