A total of 59 junior and senior finalists representing 32 states modeled their creations at the national competition. Some 915 contestants nationwide entered competitions at the state level and utilized more than 2,731 yards of wool fabric and more than 212 skeins of yarn to create their garments.

• Nicole Macy, Pine Bluffs, Wyo., $500 cash, Sew News Magazine Exemplary Construction Award; • Thad Roediger, Albany, Ohio, $500 cash, Creative Machine Embroidery Magazine Award; • Jo Eike, Fargo, Okla., $250 cash, Claire Shaeffer Pattern Award; • Koss, $250 cash, Wild Ginger Software Pattern Award; • Alyssa Nelson, Jackson, Minn., $1,000 scholarship, Mohair Council of America; • Charity Haskins, Aberdeen, N.C., $250 cash, Mohair Council of America; • Gabrielle Augustine, Palmerton, Pa., $150 cash, Mohair Council of America, and $500 savings bond, American Delaine Merino Record Association Award.
Marie Lehfeldt of Lavina, Mont., coordinated the event for the fifteenth consecutive year.
