Award-Winning International Designers Unveil Collections with Planete Chic during DC Fashion Week
The fashion show, produced by Planete Chic as part of DC Fashion Week, features:
• Serbian designer Tatjana Tatalovic, whose collection Elle Magazine named the "most significant fashion collection" of the 2009 Belgrade Fashion Week; • Mexican designer Artemiza Cruz, winner of the 2009 Palmas de Oro "Revelation in Fashion Design" award; and • Ruben Gonzalez, an innovative Argentinean designer who graduated from Milan's European Institute of Design will present his Fall 2010 Haute Couture Collection • The event will also showcase works by Argentinean jewelry designer Stella Basiluk.
Among celebrities expected, Jen Corey Miss District of Columbia 2009 will grace this event with her presence showing support to emerging new talents in the Fashion Industry while Kate Michael, former Miss District of Columbia 2006, President of K Street Kate, voted Best Local Blog of 2009 will take the runway. The show will also feature DC models Rihannon and Nora Sommerkampf.
Hela Spa and Ted Gibson Salon will do the models' hair and make-up, and JBM Productions is producing the show's lighting.
Sponsors include PHYTO Hair Care , LIRAC Paris Skincare, DC Hotel SOFITEL Lafayette, PEACOCK Café, COACHRIDER, and Alliance Française de DC.
