Bath linen seller Zara opens 1st 'Home Outlet' in Kuwait

Bed, table and bath linen seller Zara Home, the format of the Inditex Group has opened its first store in Kuwait and is already present in 14 countries. This new Zara Home outlet is located at Marina Mall Shopping Centre, in Kuwait City, where Zara, Pull and Bear and Massimo Dutti are also present.

Zara Home has increased most significantly in 2005 its attendance in the Middle East area, with four new outlets in Saudi Arabia and two in the United Arab Emirates. Two new stores are expected to open in Dubai (UAE) and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) before the year end.

The homewares format of the Inditex Group was launched in August 2003, when it opened its first stores in Spain, Portugal, Greece and the UK. In 2004, it became present in the Netherlands and Mexico.

In 2005, the efforts of the format towards an international expansion have resulted in the entry in eight new markets: Italy, Belgium, Turkey, Cyprus, Andorra, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, and it currently has 103 stores in 14 countries.

Zara Home sells bed, table and bath linen, in addition to household items and small decorative items and cosmetics. With a similar approach to the one that Zara applies to fashion, Zara Home offers the latest trends in household designs, continually updating its range and meeting the demands, wishes and tastes of its customers with affordable quality products.

Leading Spanish fashion distributor Inditex has 130 stores in the Middle East, one of the areas outside Europe – the main expansion area for the group, where almost 90 percent of its outlets concentrate – where the group has extended its commercial presence over the last few years.
