Specialty retailer Genesco Q3 sales grow 10%

Tennessee based branded footwear & accessories marketer Genesco reported earnings before discontinued operations of $16.2 million, or $0.62 per diluted share, for the third quarter ended October 29, 2005.

This compares with earnings before discontinued operations of $12.4 million, or $0.49 per diluted share, for the third quarter last year. Net sales for the third quarter of fiscal 2006 increased 10 Percent to $316 million compared to $288 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2005.

US based specialty fashion footwear retailer Genesco Inc also sells headwear & accessories in more than 1,600 retail stores in the United States and Canada, principally under the names Journeys, Journeys Kidz, Johnston & Murphy, Underground Station, Hatworld, Lids, Hat Zone, Cap Factory, Head Quarters and Cap Connection. The Company also sells footwear at wholesale under its Johnston & Murphy brand and under the licensed Dockers brand.
