Blabla, the award-winning handmade toy company based in Atlanta, Georgia, will be introducing its colorful collection of handmade dolls and apparel at Maison & Objet in Paris on September 3-7.

The collection is designed by Bordeaux native Florence Wetterwald, whose designs give a peek into the inner world of a child in her search for beauty, laughter and authenticity.

Florence Wetterwald is a product designer by training and studied in France, Italy and the US. She worked in Milano with Michelle de Lucchi and Martine Bedin from the Memphis group. Also an artist, her drawings have been exhibited in France at the CAPC of Bordeaux, and Le Centre Pompidou Paris.

New for Fall at the show are “Lucky” and “Perchance”, 2 black cool cats, classy bears (one named Berlioz after the composer), a couple of loving Rockers, and a lady fox named “Suzette”. Also new is a collection of cards and notebooks featuring the dolls, which evolved from collaborating with illustrator Rachel Ortas.

Blabla is a very eco-friendly company with a low carbon footprint. Everything is handmade from exceptional natural fibers. Blabla has been certified fair trade by F.L.O. organization and takes pride on having a relationship with its artisans based on mutual friendship, loyalty and respect.

Florence developed a creative relationship with Dutch set designer Frank Vesser at Kleine Fabriek in Amsterdam in July and the two will collaborate to design the booth at Maison & Objet. Frank's imaginary universe and sense of color along with Florence's poetic vision will create a compelling and inspiring home for the Blabla family in Paris.

Cherished by kids and adults alike, Blabla's classic handmade dolls are featured in shops in more than 35 countries from Australia to Zimbabwe.
