Korean PUCCA's LOVE set to hit New York Fashion Week

VOOZ Co., Ltd. announced that a specialized apparel and accessories collection inspired by PUCCA will grace the stage at the upcoming New York Fashion Week. PUCCA, the international character from South Korea who has gained wild popularity in Europe and Asia, was introduced to the U.S. audience in Spring 2010 as part of a partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Curve Boutique. The collection is helmed by Korean designer Kwak Hyun Joo and was honored at "CONCEPT KOREA, Interactive Waves 2011."

With LOVE as the official theme, PUCCA's Fashion Week offerings will reflect the brand qualities which made the property an international phenomenon. The seductive Lolita-ish mood in the design is redefined in futurism. PUCCA by Kwak Hyun Joo has redefined the vibe from the love portion in a futuristic way by using different colors and materials for patch work and with a collaboration with the world famous character, "PUCCA."

Originally introduced online, PUCCA debuted as a series of Flash-animated shorts produced by VOOZ. Known for its “silent comedy” factor, PUCCA creates humor with almost no spoken words mixed with a strong universal theme of love. PUCCA is the story of an independent and self-confident girl who is the daughter of a restaurant owner in Korea. In the animated shorts, PUCCA is spunky and spirited; and she is in love with Garu, a young warrior. PUCCA's dedicated online following led to its introduction in Europe & U.S.

“We are excited to be a part of the tradition of Fashion Week and to expand our audience within the U.S. and beyond, allowing us to make PUCCA a truly global brand,” said Boo Kyoung Kim, President, VOOZ Co., Ltd., and creator/founder of PUCCA.
