Tandy Leather says Nov sales up 15%

Texas based leading Leatherwear Company Tandy Leather Factory Inc reported that sales for the month of November were $4.6 million, an increase of 15 Percent from $4.0 million last year. Year-to-date sales are up 10 Percent to $45.6 million in the current year from $41.4 million last year.

Wholesale Leathercraft posted sales of $2.7 million for November, up 8 Percent from $2.5 million in November 2004. Within the Wholesale Leathercraft division, the wholesale centers and National Account group posted November sales gains of 9 Percent and 6 Percent, respectively. For the year to date, Wholesale Leathercraft sales are $28.2 million compared to $27.9 million in 2004.

Retail Leathercraft posted a 30 Percent sales increase for November, with sales totaling $1.7 million compared to $1.3 million last year. The 39 comparable stores posted an 8 Percent same store sales gain for November, with the 11 new stores adding sales of $273,000.

Year-to-date sales for Retail Leathercraft are $15.9 million this year, a 36 Percent increase over sales of $11.7 million for the same period of 2004. The same store sales gain for the 32 comparable stores is at 8 Percent for the year as of the end of November.

US based Tandy Leather Factory Inc, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, is a specialty retailer and wholesale distributor of a broad product line including leather, leatherworking tools, buckles and adornments for belts, leather dyes and finishes, saddle and tack hardware, and do-it-yourself kits.

The Company distributes its products as The Leather Factory through its wholesale distribution centers and as Tandy Leather Company through its retail stores.
