Sushma Patel to open Couture Fashion Week

In her seventh appearance at Couture Fashion Week, Atlanta-based designer Sushma Patel will present her latest collection on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. The fashion show will be held in the legendary Grand Ballroom of the world-famous Waldorf Astoria hotel on New York's Park Avenue.

Ms. Patel showed her first collection shortly after graduating from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in Mumbai. Since then she has consistently presented her designs at fashion weeks in a number of countries including France, Romania, Malta, and Barbados as well as her native India.

She is one of a handful of designers who regularly has the privilege of dressing stars at red carpet events, such as the highlySushma Patel Fashion Show at Couture Fashion Week New York celebrated Bollywood Fashion and Music Awards. Ms. Patel's fashion show will open the Couture Fashion Week event this season in New York City.
