Betsey Johnson introduces home line with WestPoint

Earlier this year, she opened her first franchise store in Dubai, which boasts the largest shopping center in the Middle East. Years of honors include being the youngest designer ever to receive the coveted Coty Award in 1972 and a 2002 induction into the Fashion Walk of Fame, with an honor plaque embedded into the Seventh Avenue sidewalk.

In 2004, the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) awarded her for her continuous fight against breast cancer. The year 2005 granted her two more honors, the 2005 Lifetime Achievement Award granted by the Signature Awards and NAWBO-NYC followed by the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Accessories Council this past November.

Now she will give her signature look to a full range of bedding and bath home fashions produced by WestPoint Home. This will include such items as sheets, comforters, blankets, bedding accessories and towels and bath accessories. A 2006 late fall or 2007 spring shipping date is anticipated for the first collection.
