Malini Agarwalla, celebrated designer of accessory label Malaga is set to unveil her Summer/Spring collection called 'Carnevale' this Lakme Fashion Week on 13th March 2011.

Malini has woven her magic around the theme of the Brazil Carnival in her accessories line for Malaga with bags, shoes, belts and jewellery lines to complement daywear and night wear. Tassels, feathers, stones and sequins are combined in a dazzling array with the spice of the Samba and the Sizzle of the Lambada.

“With inspiration from the music, the outfits and the people of Brazilian culture, this collection is set to catapult you straight into glamour mode. Malaga's Carnivale collection for this season reflects playful luxury with a global appeal. It is for the woman who wants unique and interesting accessories to complement her outfit, to create an individualistic style statement,” says Malini Agarwalla, Malaga.

Malaga will bring forth summer's worth of fun and colour with its collection 'Carnevale.' The Brazilian Carnevale epitomises the representation of a culture that is flamboyant and vibrant.
Combining street and opulent fashions, the Carnevale attire channels the rhythms and energy of an entire nation into one spirited celebration. This Carnevale collection captures the essence of this dynamic festival with splashes of colour and flashes of sequins designed to make your summer day brighter.

Malaga specializes in carefully handcrafted bags, belts, and footwear and fashion jewellery. The vast range encompasses designs for women with both traditional and contemporary tastes. Rich embellishments of jewelled pieces, swarovski crystals, embroidery, beadwork and zardosi (gold thread work) are interwoven with use of materials such as fiber, leather and various fabrics (silk, brocade, jute, linen, denim, velvet, cotton etc.) to create a stunning array of formal and casual line of accessories for women.

Malaga bags have also been shown in accessories shows and trade fairs in Paris, Milan, London, and Dubai and met with a great response. Malaga bags are exported to Europe, UK, the Far East, USA, Japan, the Mid East and Africa. Malaga also houses a prêt line Pimento.

Malini Agarwala launched the label in 2004. Malini started her company as a manufacturer of quality handbags to fulfill the demanding and continuously evolving taste of the contemporary woman. Bringing her artistic and designing skills to the fore, combining different styles, she was determined to make her bags affordable reflective not only of the rich cultural heritage of her.
