From May 27 to 29, MODEPALAST will take place in Vienna's MAK – Austrian Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art. On royal 3,000 square metres 160 international labels will present urban couture, accessories, shoes and jewellery. The new focus MODEPALAST GENERATIONS includes fashion for four generations. This year, special attention is drawn on visionary fashion for “best agers”.

In his ninth year, MODEPALAST doesn't get tired of surprising with a new topic as well as more exhibitors. On an exhibition space that is twice as big as last year, Austria's leading trade fair for fashion offers more diversity than ever: For the first time, also glasses and shoes will be presented.

The best for everybody: MODEPALAST GENERATIONS
“We want to offer our visitors fashion apart from mass goods. They get the chance to see and buy fair produced and up-to-date collections. With MODEPALAST GENERATIONS, we react to a recent development and offer mature and design-interested people the perfect outfit”, say Cloed Baumgartner and Jasmin Ladenhaufen, the organisers. Visitors can be looking forward to fashion, far away from pleated skirts and cardigans: Conscious, fresh and elegant are the collections of Anita Münz, BABO Bag, KATHARINA SCHMID, madams with a mission and HAM & EGGS (BG).

Fashion with responsibility: MODEPALAST GREEN
Last year's focus MODEPALAST GREEN will be continued even boosted. In 2011 twice as many brands will be on site with their fair-trade collections: Amongst others, Magdalena Schaffrin (Germany) as well as MASI and STEINWIDDER, both Austrian labels, will present sustainable fashion at its best.

Small Black, New Green
MODEPALAST is THE platform for young and ambitious brands. The performance of the newcomers will be supported by CREATIVESPACE, an initiative of ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA. The Viennese label Shakkei and Muster.Knabe from Bremen, Cityenne from Edinburgh, ines. P with “Diamonds & Jewels” from Bavaria and wandelbar from St. Pölten are some of the labels, coming from nineteen nations.

However, the biggest part of participants is from Vienna: One of the newcomers is designer Brigitte Wagner, who produces recycled fashion for kids with her label “Kamaeleon”, founded in 2010. Also on board: Long-time friends of MODEPALAST like Marcel Ostertag, ulliKo, MARONSKI, lila and mija t. rosa.
