After the public announcement of the SODES buyout by COMEXPOSIUM on May 10th, and the operational management of all the trade shows formerly organized by SODES was taken over by WSN DEVELOPPEMENT, the latter makes official the acquisition of a 50% stake in the CHARLY EXPO company, organizer of the MESS AROUND international trade show devoted to shoes.

The agreement signed May 16th 2011 between WSN DEVELOPPEMENT general managers Xavier Clergerie and Bertrand Foäche, and CHARLY EXPO CEOs Jean-Paul and Pascale Leroux, is in line with the will to bring together all the fashion trade shows, so as to feature a clearer and more consistent offer at Porte de Versailles.

The MESS AROUND team remains unchanged and will keep ensuring the marketing and organization of the trade show as they did until now.

The announcement in January of the launch of SIXTY DAYS, a new trade show devoted to Fast Fashion organized together with EUROVET, was also part of this new desire to complete the existing trade show offer.

International Strategy

WSN DEVELOPPEMENT's priority is to focus its energy on the Paris trade shows so as to attract more international customers. The decision was made to stop the Dubai MIDDLE EAST FASHION DAYS as a trade show, but to keep on supporting the exhibitors who are interested in the region by adopting a new format; a new business-oriented permanent showroom in Dubai organized together with a local partner, who will feature various services, from market studies to business development and search for local partners.

The objective of the new WSN DEVELOPPEMENT structure in terms of international development will be to offer tools and promotion opportunities for brands worldwide. As part of this strategy, WSN DEVELOPPEMENT, new manager of THE TRAIN in New York is now assessing the legitimacy of that trade show.
WSN DEVELOPPEMENT is the company organizing the following trade shows: WHO'S NEXT (launched 1994), PREMIERE CLASSE (launched 1989) and PARIS SUR MODE ATELIER (launched 2009).
