Prym Intimates opens 3rd manufacturing unit in Indonesia

Prym Intimates, the world’s leading manufacturer of lingerie accessories, recently opened its third manufacturing facility in Semarang, Indonesia. The Indonesian facility will offer a speedy and convenient access to cutting-edge products while reducing manufacturing expenses, with greater production efficiencies and improved productivity.

"Whilst our cutting-edge research and innovation capabilities will enhance customer’s product functionality facilitating greater value propositions. Additionally, the long-term customer relationships nurtured by being close to customers leads to sustainable procurement and realisation of great cost efficiencies, providing Indonesian customers a competitive edge in the global apparel market," Prym Intimates said in a press release.

Prym Intimates Indonesia is a 'green fields' project which commenced construction in November 2016 and completed in December 2017. The well structured, purpose built facility produce hook & eyes, bra-wires, ring/slides, straps and bows with capacity to dye and finish fabrics and fittings, and provide a complete accessory solution to its Intimate apparel customers. The company will support the Indonesian market initially and thereafter, seek opportunities in neighbouring countries.

Prym Intimates offers made-to-measure solutions to the global lingerie industry. Its global presence is strategically placed to seamlessly integrate the supply chain to meet the speed demanded by the industry. In addition to the international sales offices located in Sri Lanka and Hong Kong, it has manufacturing centers located in Sri Lanka and China. (RR)
