The collection at The S Studio includes saris made from tussar silk, silk kota, matka silk, soft silks, chanderi and organza and the ever green authentic Kancheepuram saris and is available online at TheSStudioonline.com. The saris have an individualistic personality with aari and kantha embroidery, cut work, kalamkari hand painting, pattachitra and abstract art in myriad hues and shades.

Store design | Interiors & VM | Fixtures: Elegant boutique has interiors with racks placed in a manner that gives easy access to the customers to select their saris. The space is done up in wooden interiors to give a tradition/ethnic ambience. The landscape and greenery surrounding the boutique invokes calm and peaceful shopping experience.

About the company: Subhashini Srinivasan, an engineer turned designer, owns ‘The S Studio”. The S Studio is an upcoming brand that aims to blend traditional crafts with contemporary patterns, colours and designs in quality fabrics. Every sari from her line is woven to tell a story, be it the music season in Chennai or be it the traditional pure zari silks of kanchi. She experiments with the fabrics that are in trend like tussar, shibori, organzas, silk kotas and soft silks to name a few. Subhashini is also retaining more popular forms like warli prints, hand painting on saris, kalamkari saris and aari embroidery, that are making a come back in the fashion space. The S Studio will be a boutique for those looking for contemporary saris with a hint of tradition and heritage yet at an affordable price.
