Blurry future for Bangkok Night Bazaar!

Future of Suan Lum Night Bazaar, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Central Bangkok, is uncertain!
In February 2007 it was revealed that this unique marketplace will be uprooted to set up a posh shopping mall.
Central Pattana, the company that acquired a 30-year lease on the land, had given deadline of April 30 for the sellers to evacuate the place
However, now after rethinking its move, it is planning to shut down the place next year.
Night Bazaar that opens around 4 in the evening is buzzing with activity till past midnight. Market place covering 20 hectares flaunts labyrinths and rows of small shops and stalls selling traditional as well as modern products.
This is one of the favorites for foreigners since variety of products can be bought here at cheap rates.
If one can hold his ground and bargain furiously, he can find amazing jewelry, clothes, handicraft, accessories, pottery, home-furnishing items and many more at unbelievable deals, here!
