Chemical fiber industry shows signs of improvement

China's one of the most important raw material in textile industry is chemical fiber.
Chemical fiber industry maintained a rapid development in 27 years with an average increasing rate of 16.2 percent per annum. Textile industries major foreign exchange earners are downstream processing and chemical fiber.
In past two years it doesn't perform well and remains in the bottom of ninth cycle since 1975.
But in the first half this year, chemical industry made a profit of RMB2.857 billion which compensated the 20.6 percent decline in the first quarter. Chemical fiber industry has just come up from decline because it came up with new characteristics since 2005.
Export of chemical fiber textile and garment earned $45.35 billion of foreign exchange in 2005.
