Foss Mfg to market Fisipe acrylic fibres in US & Canada

Specialty and synthetic fibres and non woven fabrics maker Foss Manufacturing Co, USA, announced the company will exclusively represent Portuguese acrylic manufacturer Fisipe Synthetic Fibers for the US and Canada.

Through this strategic tie-up, Foss' product line of specialty polyester fibers to include both dyed and undyed acrylic fiber solutions will expand, and the company will become a single resource for a wide variety of fiber options.

Calling the partnership as “a win-win for both Foss and Fisipe, as well for their customers, Jeff Dellinger, Managing Director, Foss Manufacturing's Performance Fibers Unit said, “The acrylic fibers produced by Fisipe complement our product line of polyesters, allowing Foss to bring an additional source of raw material to customers in North America. This relationship further expands our already vast line of product offerings.”

The partnership comes at a time when demand for dyed acrylic is high and supply is limited due to changes in the competitive landscape. Fisipe, already recognized as a major supplier of high-quality acrylic fibers in Europe, is well-positioned to grow in reputation and size quickly in North America.

The company has been witnessing a steady growth in the demand for acrylic fibers and acrylic/polyester blends from a variety of product sectors including home furnishings, hand knitting yarns, specialty apparel, and blankets.
