Global leader in branded lifestyle apparel, VF Corporation announced record results for the fourth quarter and full year 2005. All per share amounts are presented on a diluted basis.
Net income in the fourth quarter rose to a record $127.5 million from $125.3 million, with earnings per share rising to $1.13 from $1.10.
As previously announced, during the fourth quarter the Company early adopted Financial Accounting Standards Board Statement No. 123 (Revised 2004), Share-Based Payment ("Statement 123"), which requires the expensing of stock options.
