Ashworth reports strong initial sell-throughs of AWS collection

Ashworth Inc, a leading designer of golf-inspired lifestyle sportswear, announced strong initial sell-throughs of the spring/summer 2006 AWS (Ashworth Weather Systems) collection.
The first spring delivery arrived in December and early indicators point to a highly successful launch.
Nathan Stith, Golf Retail Manager at Doral Resort and Spa, said, "Ashworth's launch of the AWS collection in both men's and women's was one of Doral Resort Shop's top sellers in both our golf shop and the merchandise pavilion for The Ford Championship. Our guests love the light and rich performance fabrics, great colors and the excellent styling that AWS offers."
AWS is a unique 3-layer system that utilizes advanced technology to create a balance between fashion and function in a variety of climatic conditions. Offered as a comprehensive collection for both men and women, AWS features a next-to-skin layer that removes moisture from the skin, a thermal layer to provide warmth and an outer layer to protect the golfer from the elements.
