Apparelsourcing Paris expands exhibition space

The new space dedicated to ApparelSourcing Paris will be 10% larger compared with that last September and has more potential for expansion. The show will host ready-to-wear, menswear, womenswear and childrenswear across the board and accessories.

“With reorganisation of the show in Hall 2, which provides great practicality, we now have further potential to develop ApparelSourcing Paris. The show, posting a constant increase in the number of exhibitors, will now be pre-eminent for sourcing in Europe.

"With the growing demand for finished products and the change in the regular cycle for collections, we are endeavouring to bolster the ranges of products and to encourage new exhibitors to come to Paris, while still improving the standard of quality,” states Michael Scherpe, President of Messe Frankfurt France.

As for registrations, the organisers are delighted with bookings, which are very promising. New international manufacturers have been chosen and numerous exhibitors have already confirmed their renewed attendance.

The CBI and manufacturers from Pakistan return

The CBI and four manufacturers from Pakistan, who come from the Punjab, have confirmed they will be participating in September. The four companies: Image Garment, Musterhaft, Versatile International and Wow Fashion already attended ApparelSourcing Paris last September, with backing from the CBI, an economic programme established by the Netherlands foreign affairs ministry.

It is the CBI’s third consecutive attendance at ApparelSourcing Paris. It contributes to fair economic development in 48 developing countries by providing assistance for management at SMEs that export, with the goal of increasing their exports to Europe. Textiles and clothing are two sectors where the programme is investing heavily in Africa and Asia.

The four manufacturers work in menswear, womenswear and children’s wear. Their range of products is very diverse: knits, casual wear, denim, dresses and blouses, outer wear and sportswear. Where prices are concerned, there will be some entry-level products but most will be mid-range and high-end. The four companies are already working closely with European and American firms and high-street chains.
