NIEL completes 1st phase of Cotton County expansion plan

Ludhiana-based Nahar Industrial Enterprises Ltd (NIEL) is all set to launch the 200th exclusive 'Cotton County' store. Company expects to open 50 more outlets by March 2007 and by 2010 Cotton County is expected to boast a 1000 retail shops.
Kamal Oswal, MD, NIEL, beamed, “By the end of the current financial year we expect revenues only through Cotton County to be around Rs100 crore & by the next financial year the revenues will be approximately Rs275 crore. By 2010 we expect revenues to touch the Rs1,000 crore mark.”
Soon 400 stores will be opened in Maharashtra, UP, Bihar & the National Capital Region (NCR) and plans are being drafted to expand in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
The first phase of the Rs814 crore expansion plan has been completed.
This plan also includes developing a 'Femme' apparel line for women and 'Tazo' range for children.
