Plaza to house Ross & Marshalls outlets

Retail center Island Kmart has been renamed as 'The Plaza' on Galveston Island. Garment retailer Ross Stores Inc, based in California, is hiring an area of 30,000 square feet in the center. Ross store is scheduled to open on March 12, 2007.
Marshalls, another off-price clothes and accessories retailer based in Framingham, is trying to hire 28,000 square feet area. Marshalls will launch its outlet in April.
NewQuest Properties, which manages leasing of the center, is seeking a third retailer which could be one dealing in soft goods or office supplies.
Ross and Marshalls share many centers, but have different parent firms. Both of them should be taking charge of their outlets by March 5.
