Limited Brands announces same store July sales raise 1%

Ohio based women's apparel store Limited Brands reported a comparable store sales increase of 1 percent for the four weeks ended July 30, 2005 compared to the four weeks ended July 31, 2004. Net sales were $596.2 million compared to net sales of $575.3 million last year.

The Company reported flat comparable store sales for the second quarter ended July 30, 2005. Net sales for the second quarter were $2.291 billion, an increase of 4 percent compared to sales of $2.211 billion last year.

Comparable store sales decreased 2 percent for the year-to-date period and net sales were $4.266 billion compared to sales of $4.189 billion last year.
