Dress Barn June sales rise 8%

Dress Barn Inc reported its fiscal June sales results. Net sales for the five-week fiscal month ended June 30, 2007 increased 8% to $139.8 million, compared to $129.7 million reported for the five weeks ended July 1, 2006. Comparable store sales increased 2% for the fiscal month of June.
Comparable store sales by division for the fiscal month ended June 30, 2007 were as follows:
• dressbarn: - 1%
• maurices: +10%
Total Comparable Store Sales: + 2%
Dress Barn Inc is a leading national specialty apparel retailer offering quality career and casual fashion apparel through its dressbarn and maurices brands. As of June 30, 2007, the Company operated 820 dressbarn stores in 46 states and 593 maurices stores in 42 states.
Comparable store sales by division for the fiscal month ended June 30, 2007 were as follows:
• dressbarn: - 1%
• maurices: +10%
