Chico's FAS promises $250,000 to support relief effort

Women's clothier Chico's FAS Inc announced it has pledged a minimum of $250,000 to support Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. The Company has also committed to match 100% of its associates' contributions towards this relief effort.
Michael Smith, Vice President-Investor and Community Relations, commented, "They have at least a hundred associates who were directly affected by this hurricane and first priority will be to take care of them and their families. The remaining funds will be donated to the American Red Cross, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Unit, and Governor Jeb Bush's Volunteer Florida Foundation to assist these non-profit organizations with their hurricane relief efforts. Hearts go out to everyone who has been affected by this terrible tragedy."
