People's Liberation Inc announced that it has appointed veteran golf and apparel industry executive Gary Sims as Managing Director of J. Lindeberg USA. Mr. Sims has over 24 years' experience in executive positions encompassing sales, marketing, operational management, retail, merchandising and production.
From 2001 through June 2007, Mr. Sims held various positions with Ashworth Inc./Callaway Golf Apparel including most recently President. He has also held various sales positions including national sales manager for Tommy Hilfiger USA during the 1990s.
“The golf apparel experience and successful executive track record that Gary Sims brings to J. Lindeberg USA will serve the brand and our company very well,” commented People's Liberation's Chairman and CEO, Colin Dyne. “He has a proven ability to facilitate rapid change and profitability within highly competitive environments. Gary's background in management, sales and supply chain development makes him the ideal candidate to lead our ambitious growth plans for J. Lindeberg USA.”
