Everlast signs licensing contract with Scandinavian countries

Men's and women's apparel and accessories seller Everlast Worldwide Inc announced that a new licensee, Contrast APS, will introduce a series of Everlast-branded products to Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. The Denmark-based company will develop and sell Everlast sports bags, duffels, backpacks, sleeping bags, bed linens, beach towels, bean bag chairs and back-to-school stationary items in the Scandinavian countries.
George Q Horowitz, Chairman and CEO of Everlast Worldwide Inc, said, "This new licensee signals a strong endorsement of the Everlast brand in Scandinavia, and it further confirms their high level of brand awareness and growth potential throughout the world. Licensing program is truly becoming global in scope, with deals signed during the past quarter for South Korea, Mexico, South Africa, Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands. They will continue to seek strong licensing companies that will reflect the Everlast standard of quality in new markets and product categories."

While they believe that the largest selling items in this new licensing venture will be the sports bags, the breadth of new products will help Everlast increase its exposure to all sports enthusiasts."
Sporting goods and apparel maker & licensor firm Everlast Worldwide Inc also markets their products under the Everlast brand name. Since 1910, Everlast has been the top brand in the world of boxing and is among the most dominant brands in the overall sporting goods and apparel industries.
Over the past 90 years, Everlast products have become the "Choice of Champions," having been used for training and professional fights by many of the biggest names in the sport. Everlast is the market leader in nearly all of its product categories, responsible for leading eight of the top ten boxing equipment products in sales.
