Limited Brands' falters at Oct same store & net sales

Women's apparel store Limited Brands reported comparable store sales decrease of 4 percent for the four weeks ended October 29, 2005 compared to the four weeks ended October 30, 2004. Net sales decreased 1 percent to $629.0 million compared to net sales of $633.8 million last year.
Comparable store sales for the third quarter ended October 29, 2005 decreased 3 percent. Net sales were flat to last year at $1.892 billion.
Comparable store sales decreased 3 percent for the year-to-date period and net sales increased 1 percent to $6.157 billion compared to sales of $6.080 billion last year.
